Senior Arab leaders visit the United States and their influence on the American strategy with Israel

Clarification of the Arab vision of the course of events in the Al-Saffah region and Gaza
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and US President George Bush in Washington

Over the past month and this month, the United States of America has become a center for shuttle visits and private discussions on the Palestinian issue and the site of the great uprising in the occupied territories.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak visited Washington to clarify the Arab vision of the course of events in Al-Safa and Gaza. The results, according to the statements, were positive. Most importantly, there was talk about the "change" of America's stances on the "credibility" of the Israeli enemy, and Bush called for Israel's exit from the occupied Palestinian Arab lands.

Then the enemy's Israeli prime minister, Yitzhak Shamir, also visited the United States, and held talks to clarify the Israeli vision regarding the valiant uprising in the West Bank and Gaza.

And the scales turned upside down, as the Americans came out with support for the notorious Shamir plan, which calls for holding elections in the occupied territories, through which the American and Israeli sides tried to abort the intifada and end it. And the previous American statements went unheeded, and the previous American strike on Israel turned into a strong blow to the Arabs. Circumstances required that American-Palestinian talks take place, to "clarify" the Palestinian vision to the United States. The talks were frank and focused, but events confirmed the opposite of the statements, as American officials wanted to buy time to stall the Arabs and the Palestinians. And the "vision", as it seems, is not yet clear to the American side!

King Hussein's current visit to Washington comes for the same purpose, "perhaps" the "clarity" of the desired vision will crystallize.

The ball is now in America's court. Will these shuttle visits change the US strategy with Israel?!

We believe, not.

Because changing attitudes will only stem from the continuation of the great uprising until liberation and victory, and not in the manner of begging that we have tested with failure over the past years.
