Important decisions to resolve the Lebanese crisis and achieve security and stability

Ceasefire as of today.

Lifting the blockade imposed on all sea, air and land facilities, opening all crossings for a period of three months, and assigning the Chairman of the Committee and the representative of the Secretary-General to find a stable and final solution to this issue in cooperation with the concerned Lebanese parties.

Most importantly, forming a team of member states to monitor the ceasefire in Lebanon, linked directly to the Secretary-General and working under the flag of the League of Arab States. Its mission is to focus along the lines of contact, monitor the ceasefire, and lift the siege on facilities and crossings between the two parts of the Lebanese capital to prevent their closure and determine the party responsible for them. Any violation of this, provided that the observer groups must arrive without delay to carry out their duties.

These are three of ten decisions taken by the Arab foreign ministers at their final meeting in Tunisia, which represent a practical step that we believe is very advanced and very effective in resolving and blocking attempts to internationalize the Lebanese crisis.

These strong decisions came to give the parties to the conflict in Lebanon an irreplaceable opportunity to save Lebanon and the Lebanese from the devastation that lasted for fifteen years and whose victims were countless.

Enough here.. The Lebanese only want security and stability.. They do not want a government of this type or that.. They want security and nothing else.. They do not want what the politicians think.. Only security and stability, and anything other than that is not within their jurisdiction.. Politicians alone, and sectarians alone, should not think about anything other than the security and stability that every Lebanese who has lived through the heat and harshness of the situation seeks.

These decisions remain advanced and radical to resolve the chronic crisis in Lebanon because they are a sincere last opportunity for the Lebanese to taste the taste of safety, reassurance and stability. We hope that the concern of the disputants will be directed towards maintaining security and embodying these decisions in practical reality.
