Tunisia hosts an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers to intervene in the Lebanese crisis

Lebanon regional map and the Lebanese situation
Lebanon between a rock and hard place

All eyes are directed, as well as hopes, to the emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers to follow up on the discussion of the situation in Lebanon, and the results of the six-party Arab committee's tours.

In Tunisia today, this meeting is being held, which we believe is an urgent necessity to stop the bloodshed in Lebanon. And to Tunisia, Sabah Al-Ahmad arrived yesterday, and before the emergency meeting of the Arab foreign ministers, he will meet with the members of the Six-Party Committee, to prepare for the emergency meeting.

It is expected that important decisions regarding Lebanon will be issued at this emergency meeting, including sending Arab forces to Lebanon to monitor the cessation of fighting between the conflicting parties, which lasted fifteen years. Lebanon was destroyed from end to end.

And while hopes are directed towards the emergency meeting and the practical and effective decisions that are expected to be issued today, the illogical clashes are renewed, claiming new victims from the Lebanese people, some speculate that it is a "step" to influence the meeting of Arab foreign ministers that will be held today in Tunisia.

The course of events in Beirut has proven that the calls for a cease-fire, as they are repeated daily, have no effect on preventing or limiting clashes. Stopping the bloodshed, without calling for a "dry" cease-fire, is indeed a correct and effective decision that could resolve matters in favor of Lebanon and the Lebanese.
