The visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to Iraq came to embody once again the depth of the Arab brotherly relationship that binds the brothers among themselves.

The Saudi-Iraqi summit between the King of the Kingdom and Iraqi President Saddam Hussein constituted a new distinguished quality in the bilateral relations between two Arab brothers who are influential in Arab-Arab relations, and they play a prominent role in Arab reunification in service of the national interests of the Arab nation, and our first cause.. Palestine.

The assurances of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques come that his government and country stand by Iraq in its desire for a comprehensive and just peace so that it continues its effective role in building the Arab Islamic civilization. And the assurances of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein on Saudi Arabia's support for Iraq during the war period, which was represented in various forms of Saudi assistance. Political and economic, as well as the distinguished position of King Fahd of putting at Iraq's disposal "immediately and unconditionally" Saudi oil pipelines to transport Iraqi oil to the Red Sea, as well as Saudi ports to avoid the blockade imposed on it during the war.

These affirmations came to prove once again the validity of the Arab's position regarding his brotherhood in difficult and critical days, and give the depth of the brotherly relationship a unique distinction in a situation in which Arab-Arab differences prevail.
