Today, the heroic Palestinian uprising in the occupied Arab lands enters its seventeenth month, at a time when the determination and faith of the Palestinian people in their revolution and their stones are increasing in defiance of all Zionist acts of repression and the means of torture that the Israeli army masterfully uses against the children and youth of the uprising, who are unarmed, except for their steadfastness, faith, and adherence to their cause.
The Intifada brought about major changes to the Palestinian cause and broke the stalemate that surrounded it for a long time before its outbreak, as a just solution to the issue became imminent in the light of the growth of this Intifada and its continuity in resisting the occupation, in addition to the increasing international pressure on the Zionist entity to force it to follow the path of peace and the emergence of differences between the leaders of this entity about the peace process.
And this uprising will continue despite all the repressive methods and deceitful policies pursued by the occupation authorities.
Here, it is necessary to refer to the not positive American position on the Palestinian issue at a time when it must bear a special responsibility towards this issue and to exert pressure on Israel to stop its repressive practices against the Palestinians, to recognize their legitimate rights, and to advance practical steps to settle the issue.
The Palestinian leaders and masses have recently responded to the terrorist Yitzhak Shamir's proposal to hold elections in the occupied territories, and have affirmed the continuation and steadfastness of the Intifada, and that there is only one path towards peace and stability, which is the path of recognizing the national rights of the Palestinian people and negotiating with its sole and legitimate representative, the Palestine Liberation Organization.
