International efforts to support the Palestinian people and confront Zionist challenges

Israel escalates its methods of oppression against the Palestinian people
The insistence of the Palestinians to continue the Intifada

The Zionist circles are currently exerting intense activity to thwart the successes achieved by the Palestine Liberation Organization on the political and diplomatic levels in favor of the Palestinian cause, and the change in the positions of many international parties on this issue.

There is no doubt that these successes would not have been achieved had it not been for the continuation of the heroic uprising in the occupied territories, which made the Israeli military admit that the army’s attempts to suppress it did not bear fruit, but rather failed miserably after 17 months of its launch. They also stressed that stopping it lies in a political solution, not a military solution. As long as the Palestinians are determined to continue this uprising despite the sacrifices they have made and progressed daily.

Despite the Israeli army's escalation of methods of killing and arrest against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories, it failed to put out the flames of the uprising as a result of their insistence on achieving their demands and consolidating their national unity and the continuation of the political offensive that was launched after the peace initiative announced by the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in Geneva recently.

President Francois Mitterrand's decision to receive Arafat in Paris next month increases the organization's credit, which it has achieved politically and diplomatically at various levels. This visit also constitutes a major blow and condemnation of Israel's racist policy and inhumane practices against the innocent.

It remains for the United States now to put pressure on the Zionist entity to refrain from acts of terrorism and repression against people who claim their right to their lands and the lands of their ancestors, as Washington's relations with this entity give it great powers with this entity. The United States is also required to pursue a more just policy towards the Palestinian cause and deepen its dialogue With the organization and recognition of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
